Phra Ajarn Kwanmuang said that Wat Pa Nong Lom was built with the strength faith of Nong Lom villagers. They wanted this place to be the center of the minds for the villagers. It was used as a place of merit and dharma practice including to perform Buddhist rituals by receiving mercy from Luang Pu Mun to live in the Buddhist Lent. Luang Pu Mun is a guru monk who had been known as the Sangha of the 5 lands, who had established the truth since the beginning of the ordination and learned that he would not create and consecrate any sacred objects until he was over 100 years old. He reasoned that in order to get rid of all desires and to have a strong contemplation, his sacred objects were issued at the age of more than 100 years. Therefore, it can be considered as another temple that is famous for sacred objects. In addition, inside the temple there is an old cloister of Luang Pu Mun in the shape of a turtle. A path was made below for sifting. There is also a low relief sculpture depicting the way of life of the villagers beautifully made.
